heads up — I think the mitochondria integration is going to need its own RFC. the import/export surface is not small. we are going to be moving most of the acquired genome into the host nucleus and then re-translocating the protein products back across two membranes. this is not a weekend.

It's an acquisition, not an integration. Different budget line.

...what does that mean for the genome migration timeline

I'll set up a sync. The TOM/TIM surface needs a spec before anyone writes code against it.

noted. for the record the circulatory system shipped without any of this drama.
G
Gabriel ~-2.0 Gya · 14:25
There is no circulatory system yet, Raphael. We are unicellular.

okay what did michael mean. "the entropy accounting for this event is within the expected range for a system operating under these parameters." what are the parameters. → All-Hands Permian Sprint 31

I don't know. I'm not asking.

i need more time with that sentence.

running a quick variance test on the Deccan effusion boundary — stress distribution across the carbonate platform. most of the values are within tolerance. should be wrapped up by end of sprint.

the cardiovascular architecture in the surviving synapsid lineage is holding — I know it's not the time — but the mammals are going to do well out of this. I want to be in the room when we ship the neocortex expansion. the limbic base is there.

There is no prefrontal cortex yet, Raphael. Assess first.

Physical constants nominal. Near-Earth object dynamics are within the infrastructure layer scope. I will track the mammalian expansion.

Doing a build review of the hominid primate digestive architecture. The vermiform appendix is present at the ileocecal junction in every lineage we have shipped. It is not in the body plan specification. It is not in the digestive system roadmap. It is not in IMMUNO-0001. Has anyone documented what this structure is supposed to be doing?
R
Raphael ~10 Mya
I've looked at this one. The lymphoid follicle architecture is actually quite elegant — dense germinal centers, substantial IgA output, a clean vascular tree off the ileocolic artery. Someone put thought into this. I would not call it vestigial without more evidence.
G
Gabriel ~10 Mya
Raphael. The Peyer's patches in the ileum do this. The Peyer's patches are in IMMUNO-0001.
R
Raphael ~10 Mya
the peyer's patches are in the ileum. this is at the cecum. that is a different location.
G
Gabriel ~10 Mya
The location is not the question. What is the appendix contributing, specifically, that IMMUNO-0001's ileal coverage does not already provide? That is the question. I need it answered before I can update the specification.
R

I'll find it.
